Welcome to the 2023 Summer Leadership Conference where we will come together to learn with and from each other as we build our capacity to leverage hope and create positive change for our schools, staff and students.

This year’s conference is designed to encourage leaders to continue leveraging hope as a strategy to create the conditions necessary for all students and staff to thrive now and in the future. Learning experiences will focus on equipping leaders with the knowledge and understanding necessary to champion the goals envisioned in the division’s strategic framework, Compass to 2025.

We will review the course Essential Skills for High School Students and how it was utilized in the 2022-2023 school year to support student needs as they transition into high school. A review of the course curriculum, classroom structures, supporting organizations, the selection process, and data analysis with regard to the impacts of the program will be examined and discussed. Additionally, we will discuss next steps for continued supports and generate ideas for implementation.
